Should We List During the Holidays?

“Should we list during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays?” is always a big question we get once kiddos are back in school and Labor Day is over. If you want to deal with some of the most serious buyers out there then, “Yes!!”

Just think about it… a buyer out there looking during two of the busiest holidays and in cold, wet weather. Ummm... we think they are pretty serious buyers! Most likely, these aren’t “lookie-lu's,” as we call them in the real estate world. (These are people that are just looking for fun because it's a beautiful day and they don't have anything better to do.)

Also, if you are selling, you are most likely buying; so you won't have as much competition out there on the purchasing side as you would in the spring and summer months.

Of course, there are other factors out there: 1) how well you handle stress during the holidays; 2) whether or not you’re the host for the big dinners; 3) whether or not you want to look at houses to buy in the cold weather, etc. Either way, we would LOVE to help you think through it all. It doesn't hurt to at least think about it!
